Having struggled for many years to obtain a consistent, high-quality supply of cylinder blocks for our world leading restorations and engine build projects, it was decided that we would manufacture our own - Aston Workshop Cylinder Blocks. This would guarantee both quality and continuation of supply long into the future.

After a yearlong feasibility study, it was decided that the project should be carried out, in line with the Aston Workshop ethos of "In House" this allows us to control the quality here on site, without compromise.

We teamed up with a highly prestigious UK company, to provide the patterns/raw castings. From the raw castings we would carry out all* the other processes in-house.

Using original blocks and drawings, we produce solid models, with dimensions and tolerances, designed and manufactured the specialist work holding equipment, invested heavily in tooling, equipment and specialist training in CAD/CAM, for our highly skilled & dedicated staff.

During an 18-month machining/development stage, all processes were proven and checked. Alterations to programming, tooling and Workholding were made, where necessary, ironing out issues
